Get in Maxxinista, we're going shopping!
Every Maxxinista knows no two TJ Maxx stores are the same. That’s why the brand’s biggest fans Maxx-hop, visiting multiple stores in a single day.
So for the holidays, we did what any reasonable brand celebrating its superfans would do: we built them a bus.
Enter the Maxxinista Express, a double-decker customized by West Coast Customs (oh yes, the Pimp My Ride guys) with festive décor, IYKYK details, exclusive merch, and a working fireplace. Because Maxxinistas don’t do subtlety.
Through a nationwide contest, everyday Maxxinistas joined lifelong fan Janel Parrish across LA, Dallas, and Miami, turning a fan-favorite shopping ritual into the ultimate holiday road trip.
1 bus. 3 cities. 90 Maxxinistas.
Along the way: trivia, surprises, and, frankly, some very impressive hauls.
What happened on the bus proved something bigger: put 30 wildly different Maxxinistas together and somehow, it just works. By the end of each day, everyone had 29 new friends. Because Maxx-hopping isn’t just a shopping habit, and Maxxinista isn’t just a name for someone who shops at TJ Maxx. It’s an identity, a shared language, and a subculture all its own.
